How’s your day?
Mine has been good! I’m Grace, a senior studying visual computing and visual arts at Brown University. In my art, I want to bring people together across cultures and give everyone a space to showcase their uniqueness and diversity.
My dad was the first person to inspire my inner artist. I remember setting up my easel in the kitchen to paint when I was five and being very excited to visit art museums when traveling when I was still in elementary. I always knew that I wanted to study animation in college. After some research, I discovered how large a role computer science plays in animation, so I added that to the agenda. Even though that decision was made on a whim, I’m very happy I saw it through because I now love both animation and programming.
Outside of art and computer science, I love learning languages. I’ve already gained conversational fluency in Russian, and I’m currently working on learning Spanish and Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics. I also play the flute and piccolo and love to practice and perform in symphonic groups whenever I can. And if I’m able to travel and explore somewhere new at any point, I’ll definitely be taking on the opportunity. Read more about all of these below!
